Uzbekistan people have suffered an irreparable loss. On August 15, after a serious illness, the Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti Usmonkhon Alimov, died.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the home of the deceased, expressed condolences to his family.
Usmonkhon Alimov was born on 1 January 1950 in Ishtykhan district of Samarkand region. He studied at the Mir Arab madrasah in Bukhara, the Tashkent Islamic University, the Moroccan University of al-Qarawiyyin, studied the basics of Islam, mastered the Arabic language and Persian.
In 1980-2006, he worked as the Deputy Imam and Imam-Khatib of the Imam Bukhari mosque in Payaryk district of Samarkand region. In 2000-2006, he was the Chief Imam-Khatib of Samarkand region.
Since 2006, Usmonkhon Alimov served as Chairman of the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan, Mufti. He applied rich knowledge and experience for the benefit of the country and people.
The arrival of the Head of the state, the expression of sympathy and support by him became a consolation for the family of the deceased.
A dua was recited for the departed.
The President recalled the good deeds of the deceased.
“This is a great loss to all of us. He was an outstanding person. With his erudition, diligence, modesty, he won the respect of all our people. This trouble caused so much suffering to the world, killed many people! We did our best, but this is the will of Allah. May the Almighty accept his soul and lead him to paradise. Let’s remember the good deeds, continue the work of the deceased, rejoice his soul”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
